Will Hodgman AC is the inaugural Chair of Invest Gold Coast, with experience across government, diplomacy and business. He served as Premier of Tasmania from 2014 to 2020, leading a period of significant economic growth, and previously held portfolios including Attorney-General, Tourism, Trade, Hospitality and Events, Sport and Recreation and the Arts. Will went on to serve as Chair of the Australian Business Growth Fund and Australia’s High Commissioner to Singapore, where he led efforts to strengthen trade and investment ties across the region. He also serves as Chair of Trade and Investment Queensland and as a director of Experience Gold Coast.

Teresa Dyson is an experienced chair, non-executive director and former senior executive with more than 25 years’ experience across law, finance, government and business. She is Chair of Southern Cross Media Group and a director of Shine Justice Limited and is a member and Acting President of the Takeovers Panel. Her strengths include strategic decision making, organisational structuring, financial services, infrastructure and major transactions across public and private sectors. Teresa brings strong commercial, governance and financial acumen to Invest Gold Coast.

Katie Page is Chief Executive Officer of Harvey Norman and one of Australia’s most respected business leaders in retail, tourism and major events. She has led the growth of Harvey Norman’s international retail operations and, with her husband Gerry Harvey, is co-owner of Magic Millions, one of Australia’s leading thoroughbred sales and racing businesses, based on the Gold Coast. Katie has a longstanding commitment to supporting women and girls in sport, education and business and was the first woman appointed to the board of an Australian football code when she joined the National Rugby League board in 2005. Her commercial leadership, international business experience and strong connection to the Gold Coast bring valuable expertise to the Board.

Karen Jorritsma is Managing Director and Head of Equities Australia for RBC Capital Markets, where she also chairs RBC Securities Australia Board. With more than 25 years’ experience in global financial markets, she has advised institutional investors and ASX-listed companies across capital markets, risk management and corporate advisory. Karen is a regular commentator on business and financial markets and an advocate for diversity, inclusion and the development of emerging talent across the financial services sector. She brings deep expertise in investment, capital markets, corporate strategy and risk management to Invest Gold Coast.

Gary Weiss AM is an experienced business leader and company director with decades at the forefront of investment, property, entertainment and corporate governance. He is Chair of Coast Entertainment Holdings Limited and Cromwell Property Group, and serves as Executive Director of Ariadne Australia Limited and Deputy Chair and Lead Independent Director of Myer Holdings Ltd. Gary also holds a range of non-executive roles across investment, research, health and community organisations, and is a Commissioner of the Australian Rugby League Commission.

Garry Charny is an experienced corporate adviser and company director with broad experience across the technology, property and infrastructure, financial services, film and media sectors. He is Founder and Executive Chairman of Wolseley Corporate, Chairman of Verity AI, High End and Spotted Turquoise Films and a director of Soprano Design. A former barrister specialising in mergers and acquisitions, competition and commercial law, he brings strong commercial, governance and strategic expertise to Invest Gold Coast.

Mayor Tom Tate has led the City of Gold Coast since 2012, having been re-elected in 2016, 2020 and 2024. A civil engineer by background, Mayor Tate brings extensive business experience across construction, tourism and hospitality, together with a strong focus on economic growth and investment. He champions the Gold Coast as a place that is open for business and is focused on broadening the city’s economic base, creating jobs and attracting investment. As Mayor, he provides an important connection between Invest Gold Coast and the City of Gold Coast.

Mark is the inaugural CEO at Invest Gold Coast Pty Ltd, the investment and economic development arm of the City of Gold Coast. He is a seasoned executive and company director with deep state and local government experience. Mark has held strategic leadership roles across significant Queensland based infrastructure and investment projects. He was Managing Director, Advisory of Queensland Treasury Corporation from 2012-23 before a stint as Program Director for QCN's CopperString delivery team working with Powerlink, Energy Queensland, and local government to deliver economic and community benefits. He was also CEO of Local Government Infrastructure Services. His board experience includes Chair of the Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee at Cross River Rail Delivery Authority in 2024, providing assurance and advice on financial performance, risks, and audit programs. At Seqwater he sits on the Audit and Risk Committee and Assets and Investments Committee. At Invest Gold Coast, Mark is charged with boosting the economy of Australia's fastest growing city and cementing the Gold Coast's position as a premier investment destination.
